The days are getting longer and warmer. Summer is on it’s way. With it comes high temperatures that can pose a risk, especially for outdoor workers. Here are a few quick tips on how to beat the summer heat:
- Hydrate and then hydrate some more. When the temperatures soar, so can a person’s risk for dehydration. Drink large amounts of water and encourage all outdoor workers to do the same.
- Don’t overdress. In the summer, wear appropriate clothing for the heat, avoid overdresses which can lead to overheating.
