4 Tips for Sticking to Your New Years Resolution

It is already mid January. At this point, sticking to a New Years resolution may begin to get more difficult as motivation fades. We have a few tips to help you stick to your New Years resolution.

1. Believe that you can do it.

If you do not believe that you are capable of accomplishing your goal, you will probably not accomplish it. Having the confidence that you willnew yearreach your goal, will help give you the motivation to keep going.

2.Write down your goals.

If you have not already done so, you should write down your resolutions. This will help you to internalize them as well as help you to be accountable. It may also be a good idea for you to write your resolutions down every few weeks.

3. Find a partner or tell someone about your goals.

If no one else knows about what you are trying to accomplish, it is very easy to quit. Depending on your goal. Partnering with someone you trust can give you the accountability you need to keep moving forward.

4. Put your written down goals in a prominent place. 

This tip goes back to #2. Placing your written down goals in prominent places (bathroom mirror, bedroom door, etc) will help to remind you what you goal is.

Sticking to a New Years resolution is no easy feat. However, with a little bit of determination it is possible to start 2015 on a positive note.
